Systems and Specialty Engineering

Systems Engineering and a systematic approach to problem solving are fundamental to the Luminact philosophy. As such our team draws on experience in multiple domains, and from major projects and sustainment engineering activities, to deliver expert consulting and services in this area.

Our qualified team is experienced in systems integration, software, communications (and RF), electrical (including EMI / EMC / E3) and mechanical engineering, and conversant in all aspects related to defence engineering under ASDEFCON and Technical Regulatory Frameworks (TRF) such as the TRAMM-L for land materiel. Engineers Australia Chartered engineers and National Engineers Register (NER) listing provide our clients confidence of engineering integrity and quality.

We aim to provide both embedded engineering personnel, as well as external review and consulting services, with an emphasis on integrity, product lifecycles and safety. Some of the areas we can provide capability in are:

  • Systems Engineering – whole of lifecycle, requirements analysis and writing, specifications, and interface control document (ICD) development, analysis and synthesis, and Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMP).
  • Verification and Validation – developmental and prototyping Testing and Evaluation (T&E), through to Acceptance Verification and Validation (AV&V), including procedures, plans, analysis, and reports (such as VCRM).
  • System Safety – including hazard analysis, mitigations (SFAIRP), and Safety Case Report (SCR) development compliant to Work Health & Safety standards.
  • Mechanical Design – including 3D and 2D CAD, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and preparation of Technical Data Packages to AS1100, ASME Y15.1 and DEF(AUST) 5085B standards.
  • Specialty area such as Human Factors, Environmental, Reliability and Legislative analysis.
  • Rapid Prototyping and Concept Demonstrations.
